Since the start of this year, we have had many people reach out asking about our marquee. After trying to find a permanent fix and lots of patience, we have determined that the marquee needs replaced. The current marquee is 11 years old and has had ongoing problems all year, making it hard and costly to repair. Small fixes have not worked, and finding parts has been difficult, so a new sign is needed. Thanks to support from our PTO, Putnam County Bank, and a reduced price from Paris Signs, a full replacement is possible, but we still need to raise $17,535.43, which is over 65% of the total cost. Any donation will help, and checks can be made to Lakeside Elementary with “school marquee” in the memo line. All donors will be publicly recognized and can feel proud knowing their support helps students, staff, families, and the entire community every day.
